Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela will be visiting Brazil next month to attend a meeting of the Mercosur trade bloc. (Mercosur is a Spanish acronym for Mercado Común del Sur, which can be translated in English to the Southern Common Market) Mercosur is a trade agreement that involves these South American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
