Brazil economy lest globalized in Latin America.

According to PR Newswire Brazil economy is the less globalization in 2012 for Latin America. Is this a negative thing?  I think that because Brazil was a more protective state for its economy it have help them manage to go through the global financial crises without being affected. With the new treaty that they sing (TAC) should help them being a more globalize country. This should not be a reason for them to deregulate their economy because this is what has save them from being part of the global finical crises. Can this title affect Brazil economy and future relationship with other countries?

Brazil sings the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

The Brazilian government has signed the treaty of amity and cooperation (TAC). This treaty with the south Asia will permit Brazil to help south Asian counties to bring new technology in their countries and help trading market for Brazil.  I think it will bring some good for all of the countries that are part of this cooperation.  This was a grate opportunity that Brazil profits and will create great thing and will help their economy grow in the future.

Bikes charging battery in prison

The prison called Santa Rita do Sapucaí in Brazil had found new source of regenerative energy that can even motivate prisoners to get in good shape. The idea came from the judge José Henrique Mallmann, he has seen in other prisons that were giving incentives for riding bikes. So, he considered updating this idea to new charging bikes that can provides enough power to a battery that gives light to a street-light. The idea is that for every 16 hours spend riding (charging) the stationed bike, each prisoners will have a day off of their sentences. The voluntary program seems to be well integrated and many of them think it’s a very good idea and even says it keep them in good shape while making them feel good to do something that can help the society.

Brazil army still in Haiti to provide security.

The Brazilian army did not leave Haiti ground since the 2004.  Is it funny that there are around 2000 soldiers from Brazil helping and assuring security in this country but that there is no more sing of big nations like the United States or Canadian? I find it hard to see that the 6 biggest economy puts money and men’s in the security of Haiti but that the strongest economy does not do the same. I think that the world’s biggest economy should look at Brazil and take them as a model and do the same thing.

Regional judge is aiming to arrest Google President

In september there was a dilema which faces a regional politician and the company Google itself. This problem was due to a video uploaded in Google that was saying false statement and was deterioiring a politician's personal reputation. So the Judge Flavio Peren who sits at regional electoral court in Brazil decided to do everything he could to arrest the Google President in Brazil: Mr. Coelho. Therefore this problem has been reported since then and Google says that that it was not in their responsibility to protect people selves but to allow free speaking and opinion over everything people wants.
Since Google is such a huge multinational company and is one the the wealthiest one too, I assume that the trial will abort.

Great Carnival upcoming in Brazil!

Barbosa
Carnivals are one of the most popular and seriously taken events in Brazil. So actually in the streets of Rio the Janiero, there is people celebrating for the name of Joaquim Barbosa, the country’s first black Supreme Court Justice. In his honor, there has been plenty of Mask of Joaquim distributed to people. He is mostly known for its rigor via rules, good independence, and regular decision with the justice. The 58 years old man doesn’t smile easily, but when he is talking, the nation listens and appreciates each of his words.

That Barbosa is even hearing the case is the stuff of fables. The son of a bricklayer, he grew up in an adobe home in Paracatu, a backwater in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais. His schoolmates remember him as an obstinate, self-absorbed boy who read everything he could get his hands on and liked to sing bits of songs in foreign languages. His break came when Barbosa’s family moved to Brasília, then the new national capital, where a dedicated student could rise to public service. Barbosa went to law school and joined the state’s attorney office. He went on to earn his doctorate at the Sorbonne and then lecture at Columbia University and UCLA. Besides his native Portuguese, Barbosa speaks fluent English, French, German, and Italian. Nominated to the bench in 2003, he will soon take over as the country’s chief justice. (Margolis, 2012)
Barbosa has a beautiful historic over corruption trial and over deciding the fate of Brazil’s most powerful poiliticians. One of his main accomplishments is when he led the way to get an old but very corrupted situation including 11 members of the high court plus the one that has given the chance to Joaquim to join the high court. So, even though former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s administration has given the opportunity to be there, the first black Supreme Court Justice has done everything he could to demystify a fraud of that organisation on tax pay and unreported loans to pay off campaign debt.

Could Brazil economy help stabilize U.S economy?

Now that Brazil has changed it economic policies and has loosen it rules could this helps the U.S economy to get better and help Brazil to be a stronger economically? I think that the U.S would benefit from making trade links with Brazil. This new links would benefit the economy of both countries. This would create new jobs and new opportunities for both for economy to grow and for the United States stabilization their economy and start having a growth.
